A Christmas-themed escape room has come to the Kentucky Children’s Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky to bring a smile to the faces of young patients this Christmas.

Breakout Games – the company behind the escape room – organised the event for two weeks, allowing several patients to experience the game each day. As health and safety was top priority, each feature of the room was easily disinfected after each participant had their fun.

Dalton Green, a 13 year old diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder said, “Well for patients and their families, I feel like it allows them to be a kid again instead of having to do treatment all day long. It gives them a distraction from why they’re in the hospital.”

Dalton was able to have a much-needed and greatly deserved break from treatment thanks to Breakout Games and was able to save Christmas by finding Santa’s missing hat.
