Jennifer Deutz is an escape room puzzle designer based in New Ulm, Minnesota, USA, who creates personalised and customized puzzles for events and parties.

Escape rooms are typically enjoyed at a specialised location that can host several rooms for several groups of people at one time. Deutz, however, is an expert at bringing the escape room concept to any location of her clients’ choice.

The self-proclaimed pioneer in her field has an impressive résumé and has designed rooms for proms, galas and corporate parties. She is able to design her puzzles down to her clients’ exact specifications, allowing her to be flexible with her work. Her rooms vary by time and difficulty based on the client’s request.

Jennifer Deutz’s company, Escapist Designs, was started in February, and her aim is to bring fun to others, and to herself, through her work – which she loves to do.

Deutz said, “Last year during the haunt, they wanted to do something new, and it was brought up that escape rooms are pretty popular, I love escape rooms and have done a fair few myself."

She went on to say, "So I designed three of them for the whole run of weekends in October and they were 30-minute rooms which were incredibly popular.”
