German mobile app developer Everbyte Studios have created ‘NOX’ – an escape room style mobile game for iOS and Android.

“NOX takes you to an old, mysterious mansion filled with secrets waiting to be revealed by you. Accompanied by an exciting story, you explore mysterious rooms and discover their hidden mechanisms.”

The game itself is designed in a bespoke style, with extremely neat and detailed rooms contained in what looks like a miniature, virtual dollhouse.

NOX plays out in the same way as a real-life escape room. Completing the game requires the player to figure out a series of brainteasers, puzzles and cleverly designed locking mechanisms that have to be intricately moved and fiddled with by adjusting your screen angle.

What’s interesting is number of playable features that have been methodically incorporated into the mobile game. Also, following the immersive aspect of a typical escape room, you will have to navigate a mysterious storyline that will eventually lead to the identity of the captors who have locked away in unexplained circumstances.

NOX is free to download on both the App Store and Google Play.
