The Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) has opened a brand new escape room at the IIDCYA History Museum on Monday.
The escape room is called ‘Pars Heritage’ and is focussed on local Iranian history and culture. The escape room will ‘transport’ players, in groups of up to ten people, back to ancient Iran using immersive tools and techniques. Following the standard escape room format, players will have one hour to complete the game.
Mohammad-Hossein Karimi, the game’s designer, said, “In various stages of the game, players will learn some facts about the Elamite civilization, the Median Empire and the Achaemenid Dynasty”.
Ali Dorostkar, a local official and member of the Toys Control Council, said, “Curiosity and desire to learn lead people toward perfection, and if a society wants to develop it should be inquisitive and teach its young adults to pursue such an attitude.”
The escape room presents an exciting opportunity for young people to lean about their country in a fun and engaging way.
