Israel’s iCenter Launch Space-Themed Escape Room Around America

The ICenter for Israel Education has been travelling North America with a portable escape room with the aim of educating participants regarding Israeli history, arts & culture, Jewish mythology, STEM and the importance of teamwork during a mission of great risk and historic significance.

The escape room was inspired by SpaceIL – a non-profit organization aiming to land the first Israeli spacecraft on the moon, and succeeded in doing do last April – albeit in a crash landing.

The iCenter acts as the North American educational partner for SpaceIL and has been conducting experimental education drives for years.

Dan Tatar who runs escape rooms for the iCenter said, “Escape rooms spark creativity, develop teamwork skills, and engage learners in new and different ways. These immersive experiences activate problem solving skills, tap into curiosity and are really fun!”

The activity has attracted players of all ages and backgrounds. Educators, administrators, lay leaders and students as young as 13 have all taken part over the years.

Tatar went on to say, “Israel’s mission to the moon captured the attention of so many people. The SpaceIL Escape Room taps into that excitement and builds on that special moment to create a really unique Israel experience.”

Do you think you have what it takes to find the launch code and send SpaceIL’s lunar craft to the moon?
