The world’s most successful toy maker has recently made its debut venture into the escape room industry.
Rosedale Shopping Centre in the Twin Cities region of Minnesota hosted a first-of-its-kind escape room. The pop-up event is making its way across America and is set to arrive in Los Angeles within the coming weeks.
‘Lego Create Your Escape’ is aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 12 and is admission-free. Teams of four are challenged to solve puzzles and find clues in their search for 3 Lego keys within the 500 square foot venue.
The player’s knowledge of Lego-themed Star Wars, Marvel Avengers, Speed Champions and Minecraft are challenged during their quest to complete the room, which they are given a 15-minute time limit to do so.
New York based company ‘Set Creative’ was behind the development of the interactive game, which focuses on a complete collaborative experience for all participants – even including a ‘viewing room’, giving parents the chance to see how their kids progress through the game.
Participants noted the extremely high quality of the set design, claiming that it appeared Lego had spared no expense in creating a memorable event for all who took part.
