The Lost Pyramid Puts a Virtual Reality Spin on Escape Room

The French gaming giant Ubisoft has developed their own escape room…with a twist. The Lost Pyramid is a virtual reality escape room that is set in the Assassin’s Creed universe – one of their most successful and popular franchises.

Escape rooms usually take place in a confined space, where players must find clues, solve puzzles and decipher codes to eventually ‘escape’ the locked room. The Lost Pyramid, however, is completely virtual – allowing both creators and players to free the limits of their imagination and delve deeper into the immersive potential of escape rooms.

The experience itself will have players wear a VR headset, which transports them back to a crypt in ancient Egypt. Players must use their skills and ascend the ‘living puzzle’ – the pyramid itself. Shifting platforms, climbing and intricately designed puzzles await those daring enough to try it out for themselves. No spoilers here!

Fortunately, The Lost Pyramid Escape Room is widely available and can be found in countries in North America, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The Dublin branch can be found in Dublin’s Curved Street, where the price is £30 per person and teams of two to four can play at one time.
