The Escape Manor, an escape room in the Canadian Capital City of Ottawa, has a newly developed room that aims to help Canada’s security and intelligence community with recruiting new personnel to their ranks.
The room itself is aptly named ‘The Recruit’ and was designed with the help of the CSE – Communications Security Establishment. The government agency provided real-life props to make the experience as authentic as possible and to recreate situations that actual CSE staff would encounter on a regular day’s shift.
Players will take on the role of newly hired members of CSE when a global cyber security attack occurs. The attack ends up isolating the players from the rest of their colleagues in the agency. Players will have 45 minutes to find solutions to all the puzzles and tasks in the room.
The room is extremely difficulty – boasting just a 14% success rate. To make matters even more difficult, there is a bonus activity that has just a 1% success rate! Completing the bonus activity will put your name forward as a potential candidate for CSE recruiters!
A statement released by Shelly Bruce, the Chief at CSE, said the following, “Partnering with Escape Manor was a natural fit for us. This innovative partnership aims to raise awareness among Canadians of the work that CSE does and of the career opportunities available at CSE.”
